New Withdrawal

How to record the withdrawal of funds from an account to meet an expense.

In Family Finance Manager, withdrawals are represented as transactions against the account from which the withdrawal is made.

Account List Page

The first step is to select the account that you wish to record a withdrawal for.

Click the account, or press the Enter key.

Account Details Page

On the Accounts Details Page select the menu and choose the New Withdrawal option.

Alternatively you can use the Alt+R shortcut.

This will bring up the Withdrawal Dialog.

Enter the correct date, choose a payee and then choose a category for this withdrawal.

Choose a subcategory, enter a description and the correct amount and click the OK button to post the withdrawal.

Account Details Page

The Accounts Details Page will show the new transaction and the account totals will have been updated.
